This dude is created from a Hopi folk tale about a little mouse that rescued a village from constant harrassment. There was a pesky Hawk that was always being a nuisance to the villagers and no amount of efforts resulted in the Hawk going away. At each meeting, while they discussed another plan, this mouse kept showing up declaring he had a solution, but was told that he was too small for the hawk. After several attempts with no success, the villagers agreed to the mouse's proposal, and the Mouse, through a series of tricks finally chased the Hawk away.
